A note from our CEO

I’ve always loved the flexibility of working from home, but it often meant long days of working alone, getting overwhelmed by my growing to-do list and hours of unproductive doom-scrolling.

And then I realized… It doesn’t have to be this way.

This is why we created Focused Space — to help us stay motivated, feel connected to other humans, and get things done with a supportive community cheering each other on! 

Everything we offer our members is backed by neuroscience — but it works like magic, and feels like fun. 

We’ve helped thousands of people accomplish some of their biggest goals (and those tiny things they’ve been procrastinating on, too 😜). We hope we can do the same for you!

Though our process may look simple, it is informed by decades of scientific research in neuroscience, as well as behavioral and cognitive psychology.

The structure of each session is informed by research in ultradian rhythms, flow state, habit loops, mindfulness, and more. The “magic” of focused that many members experience is a result of this thoughtful design.

In our sessions, we help you create a distraction-free zone so you can work deeply on your most important projects. We also teach you practical techniques, such as distraction-batching, to help you better manage distractions over time without taking an all-or-nothing approach.

Scheduling and external accountability

Signing up for daily wake-up calls and community sessions is like scheduling an appointment with yourself, except it’s one that you will not skip. We draw upon the growing body of research in external accountability to create a system that supports you in showing up for yourself.

Compassionate, individualized support

Many of us rely on self-criticism as our strategy for self-growth, worrying that being “easy” on ourselves might lead to laziness. However, research in psychology has shown that compassion is significantly more effective. Our hosts are trained to offer individualized, compassionate support to every member.
