Navigating ADHD and executive function challenges can be complex, and as a licensed psychologist in Bethesda, Maryland, I'm dedicated to providing effective support. I offer a distinctive blend of psychotherapy and practical ADHD/executive function coaching to help individuals thrive. My deep involvement in the ADHD community, serving on the National CHADD board and leading my county's local chapter, reflects my passion and commitment. While based in Bethesda, I'm pleased to offer virtual sessions to clients in 42 states. When I'm not working with clients, you'll find me staying active through workouts and sports, or coaching youth basketball and baseball. I'm also a tech enthusiast, always exploring new tools and strategies for greater efficiency.

What do you recommend to help clients focus on their work?

Most of my clients struggle with anxiety or boredom when they try to focus. My suggestions vary if it is anxiety or boredom, but i always recommend really polishing up the workspace-clear the clutter and distractions, have notepaper and a timer available, make it appealing and inviting (Colors, textures, flowers, relaxing scents). Most importantly pair work with noise cancelling headphones and a great playlist that is both relaxing and enjoyable. I also feel it is important to have focus rewards nearby and Body Doubling is also great. Research has shown exercise, and a protein snack beforehand seems to help as well.

How would you describe your unique style of working with clients?

I believe in a hands-on approach, providing practical tools and concrete strategies that we work to implement directly in our sessions. My expertise as a psychologist allows me to understand the various challenges that can impede progress and the application of these tools. Therefore, my work also encompasses addressing related issues like anxiety and low self-esteem. I recognize that while practical coaching is valuable, lasting change requires addressing the underlying and co-occurring factors that impact your ability to thrive.
