I'm a Licensed Clinical Social Worker practicing in South Florida. I can help you gain insight into your behavior and identify your strengths and values to better guide you through the next steps in life. Together, we can figure out how your past experiences are influencing your current behavior and what's keeping you stuck. We'll use a cognitive-behavioral and values-based approach to reframe thoughts and beliefs that no longer serve you and develop goals to achieve better alignment with your values.

What do you recommend to help clients focus on their work?

I often recommend body doubling, the Pomodoro Technique, and music/sounds designed for focus.

How would you describe your unique style of working with clients?

I'd sum up my approach as calm, chill, caring, and compassionate. I meet the client where they are at each session and my goal is to always end the session with a solution or takeaway for the client based on what they shared during that session. I am attentive and have a pretty good memory which allows me to remember names and details of what you share with me so I can make even better connections and see your situation from a broader perspective.

What do you love about working with your clients?

Seeing the light bulbs go off and when they are so excited to share new insights they've gained.

Treatment Approach

Cognitive Behavioral (CBT)

I like to start off using this treatment method because it helps us identify the thoughts and beliefs that are contributing to your mental health condition. I work closely with clients to recognize and reframe unhelpful thoughts that may be perpetuating anxiety, depression, or other challenges through talk therapy and homework assignments. This process empowers individuals to develop a more balanced and realistic perspective.

Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT)

I enjoy incorporating ACT in addition to CBT to combine both cognitive- and values-based approaches so that clients have resources from both therapeutic techniques. ACT guides individuals to acceptance of what's going on in their lives by remaining committed to their values. This modality also includes mindfulness approaches to enhance its effectiveness.

Positive Psychology

Positive Psychology is woven throughout most of my sessions as the focus on what is working well or what works well for others rather than focusing on negative symptoms. It's also about engaging in activities that promote overall wellness. I love helping clients identify and explore what sparks their inspiration and contributes to their overall wellbeing.

Psychoeducation

I enjoy explaining different treatment methods but I also like to provide psychoeducation on each treatment method as well that way my client understands it is an evidenced-based approach and there's a roadmap for success. I also regularly give homework assignments that encourage clients to deepen their understanding of the concepts and to practice what is being taught.
