Hi, I’m Zuania Capó, but you can call me Z. I’m an integrative, neurodivergent-affirming therapist and coach based in New York and New Jersey. I specialize in supporting adults and families navigating the emotional complexities of neurodivergence, mood and anxiety disorders, trauma, and perinatal mental health. My practice is grounded in compassion, cultural humility, and a deep belief in each person’s ability to heal, grow, and reconnect with themselves. I’m especially passionate about walking alongside neurodivergent parents as they reclaim their voice, energy, and purpose, both within their families and beyond.

What is a superpower folks with ADHD have?

ADHDers are creative, non-linear problem-solvers who think outside the box. Their brains make unexpected connections, which can lead to innovative ideas, fresh perspectives, and bold solutions others might miss. In short, they are unconventional thinkers, intuitive doers, and relentless innovators.

What do you love about working with your clients?

What I love most about working with my clients is witnessing their resilience. I feel honored to walk alongside people as they unlearn shame, reconnect with their values, and make space for their full humanity. Whether it's a parent finding self-compassion, a neurodivergent adult reclaiming their rhythm, or someone navigating grief and identity, each story is powerful. I’m continually inspired by their willingness to grow, question, and heal, even when it’s hard.

How would you describe your unique style of working with clients?

My style is warm, collaborative, and grounded in real-life practicality. I bring a mix of deep compassion, clinical precision, and just enough humor to make the hard stuff feel a little more human. I work integratively, which means I tailor my approach to each person, drawing from evidence-based tools while honoring lived experience, culture, and intuition. I show up authentically, meet clients where they are, and help them build strategies that actually work in the chaos of everyday life.
