I am a femme presenting, neurodivergent, and fat queer about town! I'm born/raised in the mid-west and recently found myself relocating to gaze upon the mountains in Utah. I prioritize a genuine therapeutic relationship in order to create space for clients to explore their authentic selves. I encourage clients to show up messy as they deconstruct perfection performances. I believe in consent based collaborative treatment and utilize client strengths, lived experience, self compassion, and humor to support change and growth. I am a trauma-informed certified Body Trust Provider and work from Health at Every Size and intuitive eating frameworks. Heavily influenced by queer feminist, multicultural, relational and shame resilience theories. I blend evidenced based modalities based on individual need: DBT, ACT, CBT, Motivational Interviewing, harm reduction and expressive therapies.

What do you recommend to help clients focus on their work?

Often folks struggle with time blindness which can be easy to miss our cues for bodily needs! Focusing can be much easier when you are fed, watered, socialized, and rested! Try setting timers to remind yourself to check in with your body. This can be a great way to make sure we are meeting our needs before our "hangry" part takes over and focus is out the window. You are not a machine and your needs matter!

What do you love about working with clients?

Witnessing folks repair relationships with themselves, their bodies, and their unique needs-for many, often for the first time.

What does mental wellbeing mean to you?

Mental wellbeing is not a destination or a landing point, but more of a practice to return to over and over again.
